Cosmic Crisp apple is the result of a cross between two existing apple varieties, Honeycrisp and Enterprise, and is being launched by Proprietary Variety Management (PVM), a 10 million campaign, said Kathryn Grandy, Marketing Director for the US fruit company. (Origo)
