Flexible working conditions and a starting salary of 600-800 thousand forints are the expectations of young graduates
The most important demands of recent graduates from employers are flexibility and freedom, followed by salary: energy specialists ask for a starting salary of around 550-600 thousand forints, and IT specialists ask for around 800 thousand forints – the recent trends were summarized by Balázs Orbán, the main organizer of the University of Technology Job Fair on March 11-12, in a statement sent to MTI by the Budapest University of Technology and Economics on Tuesday.
It was highlighted that the most sought-after professions in the technical sector this year include mechanical and vehicle engineering, mechatronics, and logistics engineering. BME’s space engineering training offers new opportunities, which does not specifically mean astronaut training, but even state-of-the-art nanotechnology knowledge that can fully satisfy new market demands.
They reported that the number of professionals who are taking up positions at international companies straight out of university is increasing every year. In addition, an increasing number of young people, even those living in Budapest, are working from home for foreign companies, and this applies not only to the IT profession, but also to various engineers.
