Agriculture can achieve record performance this year
Hungarian agriculture has been successful in many ways this year, which is why output can rise slightly, exceeding 2600 billion forints, which can be a new record level – the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) told MTI.
According to their information, growth was mainly based on arable crops, fruit growing and the poultry sector.
7.4 million tonnes of maize was harvested, 10 percent more than a year ago. The yield of wheat was 5.2 million tonnes, the same as in the previous year. 988 thousand tons of rapeseed was harvested, 5.2 percent higher than the previous year’s level. (MTI)
