India’s wheat crop could set a record
It could be a record year for wheat production in India this year – origo wrote. India, the world’s second-largest wheat producer, is unlikely to overtake China as the world’s first, but ever-increasing production area and favorable weather could still result in unprecedented yields.
Indian wheat production could reach a new peak this agricultural year. According to the calculations of the analytical company Karnal, the production of the country may increase to 115 million tonnes from 107 million tonnes last year – RT.com wrote. (origo)
