Summer harvested crops reached yields records
Winter wheat, barley and canola reached record yields this year – Nagy István Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture said on Friday in Hajdúböszörmény at the press conference of the Hajdúsági Expo.
Nagy István said that the harvest of summer crops has completed. From autumn wheat 5.1-5.2 million tonnes were harvested, exceeding the average of the past five years by 10 percent. The wheat yield (5.4 tons per hectare) barley yield (5.2 tons per hectare) and the 3.2 tons per hectare canola crop are records – he added. (MTI)
