EU’s largest peach growers perform at a record low

We can expect weak peach yields across the EU this year
The four leading peach and nectar producing Member States of the European Union (Spain, Italy, Greece and France) are expected to reduce their yields by 15% to 1.87 million tonnes by 2021, compared to a year before. The yield of nectarines could decrease by 14 percent to 882.9 million tons, that of peaches by 17 percent to 767.1 thousand tons, and that of flat peaches by 14 percent to 226.3 thousand tons. The yield of industrial peaches may be 27 percent lower (544.4 thousand tons) – agrarszektor.hu quotes the data of the Institute of Agricultural Economics (AKI). (agrarszektor.hu)
