Advertising Association: Last year, 241 billion forints were spent on advertising
The Hungarian Advertising Association (MRSZ) estimates that the 2017 advertising spending was 241 billion forints, 11.5 percent more than a year before, but excluding the state spendings, but the market has not yet reached the level of the outbreak of the 2008 crisis.
According to the market data of MRSZ, last year the largest segment was the Internet advertising with 16.4 percent increase and 76.76 billion forints. Television is the second with 60.2 billion HUF, with a 7.5 percent increase, and the third is the newspaper market, where the 18.5 percent increase occured in revenues with a 38.3 billion forints advertising revenue.
