Breakfast – a favourite with hotel guests
Although breakfast is widely considered to be the most important meal of the day, most people just have a cup of coffee and maybe a few biscuits on an average weekday morning. Perhaps the reason why hotel guests love breakfast so much is the very fact that it is everything that an ordinary breakfast isn’t.

Obviously hotels should pay special attention to serving rich and varied breakfast. Providing alternatives in line with the “free-from” eating trends or diets with a health background is no longer a special requirement. An attentive hotel will make sure that the breakfast table features regional specialities and traditional local flavours, using ingredients and products from the immediate vicinity of the accommodation.
Thanks to tourism coming alive, Hungary is once again welcoming a large number of foreign visitors, including tourists from the Far East. Japanese and Chinese visitors tend to have a modest breakfast, and they are happy to see their usual teas, soups and fermented vegetables on the table. With the rise of healthy eating, breakfast cereals have been replaced by healthy, high-fibre mueslis and granolas, sprinkled with seeds and dried fruits. Milk is now joined by delicious plant-based drinks. Finally, keep in mind that the brunch is back to its former glory! (x)
