Profession.hu: net average salaries increased mainly in IT, construction and healthcare in the third quarter
Based on advertisements containing salary information, the average net salaries offered increased the most in the third quarter compared to the year-on-year in the fields of IT, operations, telecommunications, the construction industry, business support centers and the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, Profession.hu announced in its latest third-quarter report, which it sent to MTI on Wednesday.
Analysts pointed out that companies are recruiting more restrained this year, the number of advertised jobs decreased in both the second and third quarters, with the rate of decline in the latter exceeding 15 percent on an annual basis.
In terms of categories, only the number of advertised jobs increased in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, and the available salaries in this area also increased
– they highlighted.
At the same time, a 50 percent drop in the number of new job opportunities was experienced in the hospitality, hotel, and tourism category, followed by public administration and HR, labor, as well as engineering jobs and IT, programming, and development.
They pointed out that although the number of applications decreased minimally, by 0.3 percent, in the third In the second quarter compared to the same period of the previous year, however, employee activity remains high. The largest increase in this area occurred in Vas, Tolna, Veszprém counties, while the most significant decline was experienced in Nógrád, Hajdú-Bihar and Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén counties.
Examined by area, it was found that
the largest jump in the number of employee applications, by 37 percent, occurred in business support centers, followed by marketing, media, PR and IT, operations, telecommunications with an increase of 15 and 15 percent, respectively. In contrast, employee activity decreased most in the categories of hospitality, tourism, business management, and law and legal consulting.
The announcement quoted Imré Tüzes, Business Development Director of Profession.hu, who said that the stagnation of the domestic economy for almost three years is also reflected in labor market statistics: the number of job advertisements decreased by 6 percent in the first eight months of this year compared to the same period of the previous year, while on average 10 percent more applicants are applying for each advertised position. This trend continued in the third quarter, which clearly shows that companies are more interested in maintaining stability rather than expanding, the business development director of the job portal explained.
