At the beginning of the year, the number of starting jobs increased
The number of advertised starting jobs decreased throughout the last year, the signs of improvement began to appear around November-December, this trend persisted in the first months of 2021 as well – Profession.hu told MTI.
It was recalled that the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in Hungary in March 2020 had a significant impact on the entire Hungarian labor market, so the number and proportion of job advertisements sent to career starters and jobseekers also decreased. Moreover, in the spring of 2020, companies that tried to survive the crisis by means of staff stoppages and layoffs were the first to freeze their recruitment and to switch from those who were not in the portfolio, for xample contract staff, temporary staff, and trainees and students.
