Procter&Gamble CEO: double-digit growth in turnover is expected
The pressure exerted on the manufacturers spills over to consumer prices as well, inflation is reflected, among other things, in the fees spent on promotion and the increase in the cost of shelf service services. Gábor Berkó, the managing director responsible for Procter&Gamble’s commercial operation in Hungary, gave the reason for the Index.
“As a company manufacturing and operating in Hungary, the effects affecting the Hungarian economy also affect us, regardless of industry, such as high and accelerating inflation, increasing energy and logistics costs, especially the significant devaluation of the forint against the two leading currencies, the US dollar and the euro.”
– explained Gábor Berkó, who noted that the base currency of the company’s financial planning and accounting is the US dollar, so its disproportionate strengthening puts even greater burdens on the company, since their results are calculated in dollars.
Its sales and wholesale affairs are handled by Procter&Gamble Kkt., among other things, logistics and marketing activities belong to Procter&Gamble RSC Regionalis Szolgáltató Kft., Hyginett Kft. is responsible for two production plants in Hungary. In Csömör, women’s intimate hygiene products such as Always, Naturella, Discreet and Tampax are manufactured, while electric Oral-B toothbrushes and Braun razors start their conquering journey from the Gyöngyös plant.
