Planet Budapest 2021: Sustainability also brings a turning point in business

The performance of the economic sectors dealing with the development of sustainable innovations may increase by 25 percent per year in the next period. oOne of the thematic focus points of the Planet Budapest 2021 Sustainability Expo and World Meeting is demonstrating that sustainability is now not only a challenge but also an economic opportunity – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade told MTI.

In the announcement, the ministry emphasized that sustainability is also turning a business. This is well illustrated by the fact that the growth of the sectors involved in the development of sustainability technologies could reach 25 percent per year by 2030, and that today more than 50 percent of investors globally take environmental, social and corporate governance considerations into account in their financial investment decisions.
