Planet Budapest 2021: the most significant sustainability challenges
According to the population, climate change, waste management and over-consumption are the most significant sustainability challenges. The survey also asked how society can do for a more sustainable everyday life: 77 percent of respondents mentioned avoiding food waste, 75 percent of selective waste collection, 74 percent of energy saving and 69 percent of conscious water use. 43 percent of Hungarians would spend more on environmentally friendly products, 39 percent would contribute to the sustainability turn by modernizing their homes, and 36 percent would like to be better informed about sustainability issues.
