Tesco wants to be a role model
Zsolt Pártos, operations director of Tesco Hungary told us that they would like to be a role model for everyone with Tesco’s CSR programme: the food saving programme is already running in 173 from their more than 200 stores.
By 2025 100 percent of the packaging of private label products will be recyclable or reusable. In 2018 nearly 5,000 Tesco workers participated in some kind of training or education programme – Tesco will continue teaching at their own Tesco Academy.
Last year they launched the Fixed Fix programme, offering part-time work to those who simply must know exactly at what times they have to work (e.g. workers with small children, students, pensioners, etc.). Tesco Hungary’s online shop now also delivers in the Debrecen and Nyíregyháza regions. This year the revamped Tesco store in Celldömölk was named ‘Store of the Year’. //
