Pápai Hús: Hungarian consumers are looking for quality ham for Easter
An increasing demand occurs towards high quality Hungarian smoked meat products for Easter on the store shelves.
The price sensitivity of the previous years seems to recede, while 70 percent of the smoked products are still purchased in the Easter season. The Pápai Hús – that is on a growing path under the control of a new management and a new investor – delivers a total of about 600 tons of smoked Easter product to the stores in March and April cleaving an approximately 10 percent slice from this specific market segment.
