Tender for catching up with the poorest settlements
The Hungarian Maltese Charity Foundation has launched a tender to catch up with the country’s 300 poorest settlements. Non-governmental organizations, foundations, public foundations, and churches are invited to apply for the implementation of assistance programs in villages affected by the Felzárkózó settlements program.
In the 300 poorest settlements selected on the basis of KSH data, about 300,000 people live in significantly worse conditions than average, and the number of children and young people in the affected villages is increasing due to the twice-higher than average birth rate. In 2019, the government launched the Felzárkózó settlements (Fete) program, the implementation of which has so far begun in 118 settlements with the participation of twenty charitable and civil organizations. Due to the EU funding appearing in the program, the EU regulations also apply in the implementation, so tenders were issued to the implementing organizations.
The call for tenders and related documents are available on the main page of the fete.hu website.
