Coffee, tea, bread and detergent: premium products Hungarians would buy for more
40 percent of Hungarian consumers would pay more than the average price for premium quality coffee or tea. 39 percent would do the same when buying bread or other baked goods and 38 percent are willing to pay an extra for premium laundry detergent. In Europe meat and fish lead the way in this respect, with 33 percent of consumers saying they would pay more than the average price for premium quality.
In Hungary 65 percent of consumers opine that base material and components make a product qualify as premium quality. 45 percent reckon that a premium product offers something others don’t. 43 percent believe that premium products have exceptional characteristics and quality. 41 percent of Hungarians say that premium quality products are worth their price.
