Stew to be made of five hundred sheeps at the sheep cooking festival in Karcag
The sheep stew of Karcag – declared as Hungaricum last year – will be made of about five hundred animals at the 19th sheep cooking festival in Karcag on Saturday.

Fazekas Sándor Minister of Agriculture, at the official opening of the two-day event, called the Karcagi Sheepfest Festival as one of the most important values of Hungarian culture.
He added that the sheep stew tradition of Karcag is as popular and acknowledged as the Hungarian archery or falconry – according to a public opinion poll. (MTI)
