Five things we didn’t know about margarines
Is margarine hydrogenated and full of trans fatty acids? Maybe plastic, so it has no nutritional value at all? Although margarines are a popular food in Hungary, many urban legends and misconceptions surround these products.
Now we’ve gathered the five facts that perhaps even the biggest margarine consumers didn’t know about: It is a misconception that margarine is made from partially hydrogenated, i.e. hardened, vegetable oils. It’s not full of trans fatty acids, it’s really not plastic. It is Healthy Environmentally Friendly Alternative.
