Bread prices may increase from autumn
The Lipóti Bakery increases the price of bread and other products by 5-10 percent from September due to the increase in wages. According to other companies, the rise in the price of flour may also cause price increases, but many bakery companies are waiting with the price increase for a while – agrarszektor.hu wrote.
With reference to the employee crisis, the Lipót Bakery plans to increase the bread prices by 5-10 percent in September – Tóth Péter, owner of Lipóti Bakery told Kossuth Radio. The firm’s decision was justified by the difficulty of retaining the workforce, as many of them work abroad. In Vienna, for example, the minimum monthly wage is 1,500 euros, so to keep people in Hungary they need to increase their wages by 15 to 20 percent each year. So they can stay competitive on the job market – he added. (agrarszektor.hu)
