Opten: signs of stabilization in the retail sector
The retail sector's revenue declined slightly, but its profitability increased significantly, while the number of employees has not returned to previous levels after the abolition of Sunday store closure – the Opten business information provider told.
The communication explains that the large supermarket chains, last year achieved positive results, after years of lossmaking. In early 2015 close to 275 thousand people were working in the sector. The number of employees after a nearly 4.5 percent decline is about 263 thousand currently. (MTI)
