Should plant-based food be placed next to meat in stores?
According to recent research, many consumers think: the preparation of dishes from plant-based foods is complicated and expensive, and the result is less tasty in comparison with meat. Experts believe that price and in-store placement are key in persuading shoppers to switch from meat to plant-based foods. An IGD report from 2021 says 57% of shoppers think displaying plant-based foods in the meat aisle – but in a separate section – would facilitate changing to a healthier and more sustainable diet. //
