Tesco's sales increased in the first quarter
Tesco published its first quarterly sales figures, thatpoint out that although the company showed a 1 percent growth on the UK market. It is a disappointment, compared to the analysts' expectations of 1.5 percent. The Hungarian subsidiaries' sales grew by 3.5 percent.
According to the CEO of Tesco, the consumer activity remains depressed in most market of the hypermarket chain A stronger growth occurred in the Central European and Thai regions in the first quarter, but in England and America there are also signs of improvement – reports portfolio.hu.
