There is no shortage of goods in Spar and Aldi stores
In the field of security of supply, retailers provide outstanding performance, even though the coronavirus epidemic and the Russian-Ukrainian war disturbed the stability of the markets, and the price cap and the bird flu also affect the stocks – Márk Maczelka, SPAR Hungary, told Növekedes.hu Head of Communications at Kereskedelmi Kft. Aldi also reported positive stocks.
This is mainly due to the domestic suppliers, as the portal reminds that 87.5 percent of SPAR’s commercial turnover is food, 92.9 percent of which comes from Hungarian suppliers.
According to Aldi, there is currently no shortage of stock, although due to the increased demand there are sometimes delays in delivery, but this basically did not affect the availability of the products, rather, shortages were experienced within days and only in the case of one store at a time.
When asked how shopping habits have changed as a result of the crisis, whether customers feel any crisis, SPAR said: the turnover of their own brand products has increased from 25 percent to around 30 percent in recent months.
