Nielsen: ham and chocolate sales accelerated
The domestic retailers reached a two-digit increase in value in the 2017 Easter season, in terms of ham and seasonal sweets.
In March-April 2017, Hungarians spent over 8 billion forints on ham, which was 13 percent more than in the same period of the previous year. The sales of Easter sweets accelerated as well, as the Nielsen retail index for the Easter season of 2016 was 28 percent higher amounting to four and a half billion forints.
