Nielsen: plush heart and praline on Valentine’s Day
The sale of praliné was close to 2 billion HUF in February 2017, which is a 14 percent increase in value and a 10 percent increase in volume, compared to February 2016 – Nielsen’s retail index monitoring 90 food categories revealed.
Valentine’s Day, came to the third place after Christmas and the Woman’s Day in bonbon sales. From the database measuring the turnover of the hypermarket and supermarket chains in Hungary, it also turns out that the plush hearts are very popular in February: from 2016 to 2017 their turnover in value has sextupled.
