Nielsen: Hungarian retail trade turnover is in the forefront in Europe
In the last quarter of 2017, the retail trade in Hungary grew by 8.2 percent, compared with the same period of the previous year, in the Nielsen-measured food and chemical market.
This is almost double of the European average, which stood at 4.4 percent in the period under review, and has not been so high since the first quarter of 2012. The Hungarian result is the second in the European rankings, only retail trade in Turkey has expanded and more dynamically, according to the “Growth Reporter” a quarterly European survey by Nielsen.
