Nielsen: domestic retail sales grew faster than the European average
Domestic retail sales grew at a higher rate than the European average during the fourth quarter. In terms of quantity of 3.2 percent more food, household chemical goods and cosmetics sold in stores between last October and December than during the same period of the previous year.
According to a Nielsen consumer information and knowledge services company’s “Growthreporter” European quarterly analysis, the European average growth is 1.5 percent. In terms of value,the Hungarian index is plus 4.9 percent, while the European average is plus 3.1 percent. Both Hungarian indexes indicates the second highest rate after Turkey. (Nielsen)
