Nielsen: The online turnover of foods can surpass store sales within five years
The growth rate of the daily consumer goods (FMCG) is already exceeding the sales of conventional stores globally – according to the recent report of Nielsen Market Research.
Nielsen’s “What’s Next in Ecommerce” summary highlights the latest online shopping trends in the FMCG sector, while pointing to online shopping responsiveness and spendings worldwide. According to the report, in terms of internet spendings, FMCG’s online sales have traditionally lagged behind behind categories such as electronic devices or travel, but this will change over the next few years.
