Nielsen: Packaging is a dark horse in case of the new hit products
Packaging design is one of the least mentioned tool of marketing, despite it contributes significantly to the success of the new products in the last two years.
Nielsen’s “Breakthrough Innovations” study includes eleven really succesfull breakthrough new products that reached at least 7.5 million euros or 7.5 million British pounds turnover in Western Europe or 5 million euros in Eastern Europe in the first year of its introduction. And reached at least 90 percent in the second year as well.
