Nielsen: Hungarian retail trade is second in Europe
Brexit insecurity continued to affect the retail sector across the continent, but retail sales in Europe increased by 3.4 percent in the second quarter of 2019 compared to the same period of last year.
In Hungary, the rate of expansion was more than double: 7.7 percent, giving domestic retail sales a silver medal on the continent. Turkey continues to lead in Europe, with a 19.2 percent increase – according to Nielsen’s quarterly European Growth Reporter analysis. (Nielsen)
