Ministry of the Interior: new tender to help improve working conditions from autumn – 4.5 billion forints to support domestic SMEs
A new tender will help improve working conditions from autumn, with 4.5 billion forints allocated to support domestic SMEs, the Ministry of National Economy (NGM) announced to MTI on Thursday.
The priority project GINOP_PLUSZ-3.2.5-24-2024-00001 “Development of Working Conditions” has been launched under the auspices of the NGM. The 8.61 billion forints of non-refundable support to be spent on the project, which will be implemented within the framework of the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme (GINOP) Plus, is co-financed by the European Social Fund+ and the budget of Hungary. From autumn, approximately 4.5 billion forints of non-refundable support will be available for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
The government is giving priority support to domestic micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and the employees working there, as these companies form the backbone of the Hungarian economy. In the Demján Sándor Program, the government is mobilizing more than 1,400 billion forints of resources to increase the competitiveness and productivity of SMEs, thereby significantly contributing to the dynamization of the Hungarian economy and the long-term strengthening of enterprises.
Strengthening SMEs also means supporting Hungarian families, since the majority of employees work in this sector. Stable jobs, safer working conditions and long-term sustainable growth make the economy stronger and everyday living more predictable.
With the priority project GINOP Plusz-3.2.5-24 “Development of Working Conditions”, announced within the framework of the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program Plusz, the government is helping to improve working conditions, reduce the number of accidents and illnesses at work, and protect the health of employees through modern, effective developments.
The project is based on three main activity elements, such as supporting occupational safety developments, supporting official administration, and the official training program.
In the project element supporting occupational safety developments, which will start in the fall, SMEs will be able to apply for the purchase of protective equipment, signaling devices, and the development of workplace environment tools and equipment. The project supports employers in the purchase of more modern technologies, protection systems, occupational safety equipment that enable a higher level of occupational safety, and in ensuring the related technical conditions.
