NGM: Non-food retailing grew at the fastest pace
The biggest increase was in non-food retailing in April, which can be explained by the vibrant activity of digital commerce and packet delivery services – Pomázi Gyula, Deputy Minister of State Secretary of the Ministry of National Economy (NGM) told M1 channel on Friday, Responding to the data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
According to the most recent announcement of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) in April, the volume of retail sales grew by 3.2 percent, according to the raw data and by 1.7 percent calendar effect adjusted, mainly due to Easter, compared to the previous year.
Pomázi Gyula commented that the spending structure in the Hungarian households has been rearranged, people spend relatively little on food, spendings shifted towards durable consumer goods. (MTI)
