It is always worth checking the original price of the product and the authenticity of the discount, as it is possible that a promotional offer may show a “crossed out” price that the retailer never actually applied – the NGM highlighted.

When shopping online, it is particularly important to check the reliability of the web store, and it is worth reviewing the General Terms and Conditions, the company’s contact details, and the delivery and cancellation conditions.

The Ministry of Justice also emphasized that preserving invoices, receipts, and warranty documents is of paramount importance, as their absence significantly complicates later complaint handling. The warranty rules do not change in the case of sale products, and the same rights apply to quality complaints as for products purchased at full price. It is important to emphasize that in the case of personal purchases – unlike online purchases – the consumer is not automatically entitled to the 14-day right of withdrawal.
