NGM: retail trade may increase further through the wage agreement
Through the wage agreement adopted by the Government and the social partners last November, the minimum wage and the guaranteed minimum wage for skilled workers will significantly increase.
According to Lepsényi István, Minister of State of the Ministry of National Economy (NGM), the retail trade will increase further through the wage agreement, which also contributes to GDP growth.
According to the latest Central Statistical Office (KSH) data, the latest retail sales were 4.5 percent higher last November, than a year before.
Lepsényi István added that the 4.5 percent retail sales growth is below the rise of the income of the population, which reveals people’s willingness to save – he told M1 news channel. (MTI)
