The vineyards did not deteriorate in the March frosts
The unusual winter, with its unusually warm months and then the frosty springtime, did not cause damage to the vineyards in the Mátra and Eger wine regions, and even the cold March weather could sprout the pests that attack early spring.
Nyilas János, Chairman of the Mountain Council of the Mátra Wine Region said: the weather abnormalities of the past three to four months did not cause measurable, nor significant damages, he said. (MTI)
