Coke bottle isn’t iconic enough
Coca-Cola was unable to convince the judges of the EU General Court to give trademark protection for the new version of its iconic bottle: the court ruled it wasn’t distinctive enough. Coca-Cola sought to convince the court that consumers would see it as a natural evolution of the earlier shape, but the court ruled that it was like the majority of bottles in the market.
