According to the study, a diverse plant-based diet contributes to cardio-metabolic health, improving cholesterol levels, blood sugar control, nutrient intake and overall diet quality. The study analysed data from more than 670 adults and revealed that vegetables (21%), vegetable oils (18.8%) and fruits (17%) contributed the most to diversity.
