Pork prices may increase through the next four to five years
The domestic meat industry has never bought pork so expensive from abroad, the import price per kilo is close to 600 HUF – 24.hu wrote.
The rise in prices was almost 30 percent in one year and the trend is likely to continue in the coming months due to the African swine fever. The retail price of pork is expected to increase by another 5-8 percent, which is also due to the weak forint – Raskó György economist and farmer projected. (Tamásné Szabó Zsuzsanna, 24.hu)
