Nébih: the black trade of large scale fishes continues to flourish
The black trade in large fish continues to flourish, the fish guards of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) and KTVHESZ managed to bring another large Tisza carp home to its original habitat.
Nébih’s announcement on Tuesday points out that a fisherman from Tissaná offered the fish for black sale for HUF 300,000, but instead of the huge purchase price, he can expect a fish protection fine of HUF 100,000 and a ban from fishing for several months.
During the test purchase, the fish wardens found out: according to the fisherman, the fish came from the Tisza, so it cannot be commercialized – based on the law on the protection of fish and fish management, as well as the 2022 fishing regulations of the KTVHESZ. The fishmongers of Nébih ÁHSZ and KTVHESZ seized the carp and released it back to its original habitat.
