We need to eat 100 million bacteria a day to maintain our health

An apple every day keeps the doctor away – the saying goes, and a recent study says it is absolutely true. In fact, in a single average apple, 100 million useful bacteria are grown to help develop a healthy intestinal flora, according to a study by the Graz University of Technology, published in Frontiers in Microbiology scientific journal.
