kifli.hu has grown a lot
The income of the online food retailer kifli.hu increased strongly in one year, in January 2023 it exceeded the figure for the same period last year by 31 percent – the company’s managers announced at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday.
Gabriel Makki, who has been managing the company since February 2023, said: their goal is to reach every family in Budapest, they want to transform the image that Kifli is a premium category service for the top ten thousand. He highlighted: in addition to a differentiated and unique portfolio, market brands are offered, but the distribution of own-brand products has also come to the fore. Commercial director Rita Szalma added: the growing popularity of own-brand products can be observed in the entire Hungarian market, so Kifli is also developing its product range in this direction. Through long tests, their purchasing specialists select the suppliers who are able to meet the high quality requirements.
At Kifli, the average customer’s basket is currently HUF 25,000
Launched at the end of 2019, Kifli was one of the fastest growing players in Hungarian online retail last year. The Hungarian subsidiary of the Czech company Rohlik is the sixth largest e-commerce player according to the data of the market research company GKID. In the 2021 business year, the company achieved HUF 24.6 billion in net sales, the data for 2022 is not yet public, as the business year closes in April.
