Cigarette sales fell significantly in August
In August, a big decrease occured in cigarette sales – the statistics of NAV show.
The last month of the summer usually produces a consumption peak, thus the data that only 906 million cigarettes were sold, compared to 1.5 billion of last August is revealing.
Until August 2013, 6.7 million pieces were sold, while in 2012, 12.5 billion cigarettes. However, an increase in cigar sales occured: jumped to 36 million to 54 million. (Author: Vég Márton, Világgazdaság Online)
