Nagy István: agriculture has to face several challenges
Agriculture today has to respond to several challenges, including the consequences of global climate change, the creation of conditions for efficient food production and the sustainable use of natural resources and finite arable land, the Minister of Agriculture said at the opening ceremony of the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) in Gödöllő on Tuesday.
Nagy István, who is also a member of the board of trustees of MATE, spoke about the fact that the task of the new generation will be to promote sustainable landscape management and to provide a workforce at all levels of the sector. (MTI)
