Development is a condition for competitiveness in agriculture
Competitiveness in agriculture is development, so the producer who wants to stay on the market in the long term must think about investments – said Minister of Agriculture István Nagy on Wednesday at the Hungexpo Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center, at the opening of the 42nd AGROMashExpo and Agricultural Machinery Show.

According to the head of the ministry, in the midst of the rapidly changing conditions, adaptation has become more valuable in agriculture, but this is impossible without modern tools. The Ministry of Agriculture (AM) provides the necessary resources, HUF 2,900 billion will be available to producers until 2027 to acquire the new technologies, he added. The Minister of Agriculture emphasized that agriculture can count on the government in the midst of all challenges, and therefore advised farmers to dare to invest and choose the path of development in order to succeed.
On behalf of the organizers, the president of the National Association of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Distributors (Megfosz) spoke about the future of agricultural machinery
Zsolt Harsányi explained that the next period will be determined by two international trends, the green trend focusing on soil protection, and developments promoting precise, efficient work. In his opinion, Hungarian agriculture is well mechanized, but development cannot continue, as efficiency is an increasingly important aspect in both crop cultivation and animal husbandry. For the first time in the history of the mA exhibition, autonomous machines have arrived at Hungexpo, but no matter how incredible these devices open up, they are worthless without qualified operators and maintainers, he said. The organizers of the exhibition will therefore grant entry to 3,000 students, hoping that the event will arouse their interest in the field of agricultural machinery, he added.
Gábor Ganczer, CEO of Hungexpo, reported that the event broke a record with 300 exhibitors
Thus, today it can be mentioned not simply as one of the most important trade fairs in the region, but as a “celebration of the future of agriculture”. With increasing interest, he explained the year-by-year expansion of the offer, the focus of which is the technological revolution in agriculture. The 42nd AGROmashExpo and AgrárgépShow welcomes visitors in all Hungexpo pavilions until Saturday evening.
