You can now munch on Auchan
From April, Munch’s service will also be included in Auchan’s food rescue process. For now, they are starting with two stores, in Soroksár and in Savoya Park, you can pick up discounted surprise packages. It is expected that by the beginning of summer, all three types of munch packages will be available at fractional prices in all Auchan stores.
Auchan will have three types of surprise packages under the fancy name “Leftover”, referring back to their year-end campaign, with which they also encouraged saving leftovers. The vegetable and fruit munch contains HUF 1,500 worth of products, which will be sold for HUF 500, the Pékség munch costs HUF 3,000 worth of baked goods, which can be taken away for HUF 1,000, for the Mix munch package – which can be eaten mainly for breakfast or dinner, cooling demanding products worth 6,000 forints – only 2,000 forints need to be paid. Fresh and well-loved foods that are close to their expiration date can be taken from Auchan with a discount of up to 66%. The value of the packages and the discounted price will be the same in all stores, but the products included in the packages may vary from store to store depending on the stock.
Products requiring refrigeration can be placed in packages the day before their expiration date, baked goods within 24 hours of baking, and fruit and vegetables in accordance with detailed quality standards. In addition, the most important guideline is that only good quality products suitable for food safety are offered for munching.
