Magazine: Changes
On 9 October the most important topics at the guild’s presidency meeting were the changes made in the Cake of Hungary competition rules, the structural changes in the guild’s presidency and the news about the guild’s new headquarters. The presidency have decided, that despite the success of Cake of Hungary, the rules need to change from next year, because consumer taste doesn’t really fall in line with the style of the winners of recent years – French style cakes strong on mousse. On 5 November there will be a forum where guild members can make recommendations in connection with this.

Confectioners
Until next February the guild’s presidency would like to create a new operating structure in which the guild could work more efficiently. Meanwhile the guild’s new headquarters is being converted: there will be offices and a showroom/workshop for confectioners. The plan is to make the latter the national centre for master exams – informed co-president László Selmeczi. //
