MNB: rising cost of services increased core inflation
Inflation fell by 0.3 percentage points to 2.8 percent in September, while core inflation rose by 0.2 percentage points to 3.9 percent.
The slowdown in inflation was mainly caused by the fall in the price index of unprocessed food and fuel, while the increase in core inflation can be explained with the market services price index – the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) said analyzing the September inflation trends. (MTI)
