The seasonally adjusted value of the Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) in July was 50.8, which shows that respondents reported more favorable developments compared to the previous month, after a four-month contraction, the Hungarian Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Company (MLBKT) told MTI on Monday.

Compared to previous July, this year’s value can be considered below average, as it is below the long-term average of 52.6 points and does not reach the average of 53.3 points of the last three years.

The value of the employment index remained below 50.0 points this month, for the eighth time after a month of expansion. Prior to this contraction, the index was last below 50.0 points in October 2019, which fluctuated around 50.0 points in the previous six months, MLBKT reported. (MTI)
