MLBKT: March Purchasing Manager Index fell slightly but still high
The seasonally adjusted value of the Purchasing Manager Index (PMI) was 57.0 points in March; lower than the 57.2 points of February 2018 and the fourth highest March value since 1995. Respondents reported more favorable processes than in the previous month – the Hungarian Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Company (MLBKT) announced on Tuesday.
March was a below average month in the previous years: the long-term average of 1995 was 52.4 points; the long-term average of March is 52.3 points. Over the last three years, the average for March was higher (54.8 points), so this year’s value is above average March value since 1995. (MTI)
